WEDDING OFFICIANT
James Fruits
I have spent 20+ years as a worship pastor, and that’s where I got my start officiating weddings. I’ve always loved telling stories and celebrating people, so creating meaningful wedding ceremonies came naturally. Over time, I’ve pulled together everything I’ve learned and shaped it into a style that’s personal, heartfelt, and a little different in the best way.
I keep two things in mind for every ceremony:
Keep it short — because no one’s hoping for a long ceremony.
Make it meaningful — something that really connects with the couple and all the people they care about.
If you’re looking for a ceremony that’s genuine, fun, and just the right length, I’d love to be a part of your day.

How we work together...
We'll craft your story together
I'll have you fill out a questionnaire with questions like these:
What do you remember about the first time you saw your fiancé?
What do you admire about them?
What are you excited about being married?
What are some funny stories that happened while you were dating?
What was the proposal like?
I'll quote you verbatim as we share together
Your answers to that questionnaire will become your story with statements like:
"... when he proposed to me..."
"... and now that we're here..."
"...and I have loved her ever since..."
"... it reminds me of the time when..."
"... I can't wait to
walk down the aisle..."
The most fun will be to have the responses be a surprise
I encourage the bride and groom to complete their questionnaires and return them in advance. This allows me to craft a personalized ceremony that weaves together their stories in a way that will be a meaningful surprise to both of them on the big day. It also helps ensure that you can relax and fully enjoy the celebration with your loved ones.
This is your day most of all
Of course, this day is all about you — a celebration of your love and a joyful experience for your loved ones. I aim to keep the ceremony short, meaningful, and focused on what matters most to you.
